First up are the scatter symbols, and while they do not trigger a free spins mode, like in other slots, they ignore paylines completely. Players can be awarded with 5x, 20x, or 500x their stake size, should 3, 4, or 5 scatter icons appear in any position on the board. 

A gamble mechanic can also be found in this title, which can be manually activated by the player. When a matching combination of under 400x forms, the 'Gamble' button will illuminate, and if it's selected, a mini-game will appear. Players can predict the colour or suit of a face-down card, which can either double or quadruple the potential winnings, respectively. 

However, if the guess is incorrect, any potential winnings from the matching combination will be lost. With a correct prediction, players can choose to continue and guess another face-down card or collect. 

For those that enjoy classic slots, Hot Fruits 40 offers something a little different in terms of updated visuals. All of the traditional features are there, with no bonus mode being included in this title.
