Many punters may be familiar with the island of Atlantis, but for those who aren't, a story surrounding the city says that one day, it was sunk to the bottom of the ocean by the Gods to punish the greedy inhabitants. Atlantis is the setting for this slot game online, with animated bubbles appearing in the background, alongside a sneak peek at one of the temples from the lost city. The least desirable symbols in Rise of Atlantis are based on different gemstones, with a sapphire, an emerald, a ruby, and an amethyst all making an appearance. From here, there is a pillar, a broken vase, a trident, a crown, and Poseidon himself. These can award players with 10x, 12x, 15x, 25x, and 50x their stake size, respectively. 

As for special symbols, there are two to discuss. The first is a multiplier icon, shown as either a blue or orange bubble. Scatter icons are also included within Rise of Atlantis, displayed as a trident with a golden border. This symbol can trigger the main bonus mode, which is covered in the section below. 

Before discussing the bonuses in Rise of Atlantis, it's worth mentioning that this slot features cascading symbols and an 'Anywhere Pays' mechanic. Should eight or more of the same symbols appear anywhere in view, they will be removed from the board, with fresh icons dropping from above. At the end of the sequence, any potential will be added up and awarded to the player. 

The first bonus feature in Rise of Atlantis is the 'Rising Multiplier' mechanic, which can be activated randomly on any spin. Poseidon will summon bubbles with multipliers that will sit on top of various symbols. Should a cascading sequence occur, the multiplier will be applied to any potential winnings. These bubbles will also move up one position during the next spin until they leave the board from the top. If more than one bubble appears, their values will be added up before being applied.  

Rise of Atlantis also features a free spins mode, which can be triggered if four or more scatter icons appear anywhere in view. Players will start this round with 15 free spins, with the aforementioned bubble multipliers increasing every time they move up a position. This can continue up to a total of 500x. Additional spins can also be awarded if three or more scatter symbols appear simultaneously. 

While the theme isn't overly innovative, the incorporation of different mechanics has allowed Rise of Atlantis to stand out from the crowd of Ancient Greek inspired slots.
