Named after the God in Norse mythology, Odin Infinity Reels Megaways is a slot set in what appears to be an abandoned war zone. Rocks and trees can be seen in the background, alongside a rainbow that may represent hope to anyone that passes through the area. The slot itself has a relatively minimal appearance, with the delicate symbols taking up most of the screen.
For punters that are familiar with the Infinity Reels mechanic, it may come as no surprise to learn that ReelPlay produced this slot. They have released a handful of other titles that also include this feature, with Money Mariachi Infinity Reels and Gems Infinity Reels being just a couple of examples.
The standard symbols in Odin Infinity Reels Megaways are a selection of Norse letters that are also represented by different colours. Uruz, Algiz, Dagaz, Sowulo, Wunju, and Fehu are the names of the letters shown on each of these symbols. Next up at the premiums, which include a raven, a horse, a wolf, a sword, and Odin himself.
There are also two special symbols for players to look out for, with wilds being the first. In the game, these are shown as golden icons known as Valknuts. Scatters are also present and are displayed as Gungnir, which is Odin’s weapon of choice.
As the name suggests, this slot features a mechanic that was created by ReelPlay, known as Infinity Reels. This bonus feature is activated whenever a matching combination is formed, with another reel being introduced to the right. If this additional reel adds to the combination, another one will drop in. There is no limit to the number of reels that can be present during one spin, which is where the mechanic gets its name.
Furthermore, for every new reel that is introduced, 1x will be added to a win multiplier. After there are no more matching symbols, this multiplier will be applied to any potential winnings before being awarded to the player. This slot also features the Megaways mechanic, which alters the number of symbols that drop across each reel.
Odin Infinity Reels Megaways also contains a jackpot, although not progressive, which can be awarded to players that land a total of 12 additional reels. This bonus is fixed at 888x the total stake size for the spin in which it triggers.
Finally, there is a free spins bonus, which can be activated whenever the scatter symbol creates a matching combination. Players will then be prompted to spin two wheels, with the first deciding the bonus level, and the second determining the total number of free spins. There are four levels in total, all of which have an impact on the potential win multiplier. For example, on level 2, each additional reel will add 2x to the symbol multiplier. On level 4, a new reel will add 4x to the symbol multiplier, and so on.
This multiplier is applied to any matching symbol combinations and will not reset during each free spin. However, the total number of reels will reset in this round. Players can also be awarded with additional spins, with one scatter symbol awarding four more.
The Infinity Reels mechanic is popular amongst many players. However, the addition of Megaways within this slot offers a whole new experience. Visuals in this slot are easy on the eye, with the animations also being incredibly smooth!
