Bandits never stay away from shenanigans for too long because the lure of extra cash is just too tempting, and now they're back again in Money Train 2. This online slot game from Relax Gaming takes an alternative look at the Wild West with steampunk design offering a dismal view of the desert landscape. But all is not lost because if you prove to be a sharpshooter, you could be in with a chance for the top payout of x50,000. 

The fact that this game is a sequel is given away by the title, with this slot following hot on the heels of Money Train, the original from Relax Gaming. The first instalment was released in 2019 and was a runaway success with plenty of Wild West action to keep even the hardest to please players thoroughly satisfied. 

All of the action takes place on a decrepit train, which miraculously still appears to be fully functional. The grid is jammed on board and includes five reels with 40 paylines. Betting starts from a meagre 0.20 and climbs to a relatively modest 20.00. Big money hunters who enjoyed the first game in this series may be disappointed as this is a reduction in the available stake. However, the x50,000 still makes it more than worth playing, especially when you consider the high level of volatility too. 

There's a very grim and dystopian vibe about this slot, even though the sun is shining overhead and the skies are blue. The heat of the sun is the only warmth you'll feel from this industrial landscape where there's no one in sight to offer a cheery smile. Instead, you'll be riding into a ghost town with derelict shanty buildings, silently watching the rattling train of rogues.  

The four playing card suits make up the low pays, a reasonably mundane start to the gameplay. The premium symbols feature four of the dubious characters who are in the gang, but if you see them, it's good news. Bumping into a Mexican mobster would normally not be welcome, but in this case, it could net you a prize of up to x20.  

And just when you think things couldn’t look any more depressing, a skull turns up to add to the downbeat mood. But surprisingly, it’s here to help as the skull is the wild and can help you to create more winning lines. 

The scatter symbols are at the heart of the bonus features in Money Train 2, and there’s plenty for robbers to get stuck into.  

Land three scatters, and you'll unlock the Money Cart Bonus Round, but if you only manage to land a pair of scatters, you'll trigger the Respins bonus instead. 

In the Respins bonus, you'll receive a random multiplier from each of the scatters; these are added together to get a total. The reels will then respin, and keep on respinning until you land a win. For every non-winning spin, the multiplier increases by +1. When you finally get a winning line, the payout is increased by the multiplier to give you a grand prize.  

If you land the extra scatter, you'll bypass the Respins bonus and head straight onto the Money Cart Bonus, which plays out on a different board. The sun is gone as you'll be making your moves in the silence of the night, starting with three spins and the triggering scatters frozen on the grid. Only multipliers and certain symbols can land on the grid, and on each spin, the tiles will either be blank or display one of these. Each time a multiplier or one of these new symbols appears, the free spins will reset to three. You'll carry on playing this bonus until the board is filled or you run out of respins.  

We're not going to reveal the full extent of the special symbols, but there's everything from a necromancer to a sniper, plus other denominations. In total, there are 11 different symbols that may land, which combine to provide incredible prizes.  

But Relax Gaming aren’t done quite yet! If you manage to fill a reel completely, an extra reel will be added, giving you even more chances to bump up the prizes. A maximum of two extra reels can be added during the bonus.
