Casinos have long been known for their hospitality. Especially when it comes to loyal, long-term players, casinos have a well-established track record of providing great customer care, not to mention a range of comps and perks for their most cherished guests. Nevertheless, a recent trip to Las Vegas took this idea to a whole new level for one lucky couple.
PartyCasino organised an invitation-only event in Las Vegas for a small group of regular guests, which took place from May 26th-28th. It was to be the experience of a lifetime, with only a handful of players and their guests invited to take part.
Flying in from countries across the world including Canada, Greece and Australia, the group met for their stay at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental hotel resort in Vegas for a packed itinerary that included fine dining and hospitality, trips to the Grand Canyon, a helicopter tour of the city and the hottest ticket in town to see Jennifer Lopez performing live.
The group hit it off immediately, with two PartyCasino representatives on hand to make sure the experience truly lived up to expectations. It was clear from the outset that the weekend would be filled with laughter, with all of the attendees warm and receptive to the others in the group.
While the stage was set for an unforgettable few days for PartyCasino’s Vegas guests, it was about to take on a whole new level of meaning for a couple of those involved.
One of those attending was Damien, who plays at PartyCasino under the alias doneill1712. Flying all the way from Australia to take part in the event along with his fiancé Lynn, Damien wanted to make things even more special than they already were on what was most definitely the trip of a lifetime for the pair.
Having steadily built up a strong relationship with his personal Account Manager while playing at PartyCasino in his spare time, it should hardly come as a surprise that Damien was one of the select group chosen to enjoy the weekend in Vegas. Nevertheless, his excitement on receiving an invitation was palpable – after all, it had always been a dream of his to fly to Las Vegas and marry the love of his life.
At first, all discussions of getting married had seemed like a joke; a humorous nod to the established tradition of the hazy Vegas wedding. At the time, Damien’s contact at PartyCasino joked that maybe they could play a role in the wedding over email exchanges, but nothing was set in stone. As time went on, however, it became clear that Damien and Lynn were deadly serious This was the opportunity they had been waiting for – a chance for them to tie the knot in style in the gambling capital of the world.
On arrival, the soon-to-be-wed couple checked into their hotel to find we had laid on a complimentary spa treatment for them as well as a card wishing them all the best for their wedding day. Surprised and delighted by the hospitality, the couple went even further than merely expressing their gratitude for the gifts – they actually invited PartyCasino to their wedding day!
The couple had arranged to get married at a chapel in Vegas on the Monday after the event. When they arrived at the chapel, Damien was understandably dressed to the nines for the big occasion, but draped over his arm was his favourite motorcycle jacket. With motorcycle riding being a major passion of his, Damien was intending to don the jacket after the formality of the ceremony was over – but Lynn suggested she was surprised he was wearing a suit at all!
As the couple prepared to say their vows, Elvis appeared right on cue. Far from the cheesy performance you might expect, the Elvis impersonator did a fantastic job of setting the mood for the occasion and did much to settle Damien’s obvious nerves! The ceremony was streamed internationally, with the link passed around to the couple’s friends and family back in Australia, and in the end the wedding went off without a hitch. In fact, it couldn’t have gone any better.
As the ceremony drew to a close, there was laughter as Damien even declared one of the PartyCasino representatives his best man for the day. After the sacred vows were made, it was back out on the town for some photos, rounded off with a stunning Australian steak at Aria Casino’s Brasserie.
While many casinos can claim to have shown top-notch hospitality to their players, few, if any, have ever been formally invited as guests to the wedding of two of their guests. Damien and his beautiful new bride were immensely thankful for the weekend, which they said was one of the most memorable vacations of their lives. The same too could be said for our PartyCasino reps, who were truly honoured to take part in such a special, memorable day.
