Upon hearing the name of this title, players may assume that they're being taken underwater to search for buried treasures. This isn't quite accurate, as the Kraken's Sky Bounty online slot is actually set on the deck of a pirate ship.

Cannons can be seen on either side of the board, as the ship's crew are locked in battle with a fleet of other boats. The audio in this boat follows expectations, with traditional pirate-themed background music and sound effects playing throughout. Standard icons in this title revolve around a selection of gemstones, represented by different colours. In order of desirability, there is a pink, blue, green, orange, yellow, purple, and red variation, which can award up to 3x the stake size. Premium symbols are up next, consisting of a bottle of rum, a steering wheel, a cannon, and two swords. Should six of these form a combination, players will be awarded with 6x, 8x, 12x or 20x their bet, respectively. 

Just like in many slots online, Kraken's Sky Bounty features two special symbols. First is a wild, shown as a Kraken, which can substitute for any standard or premium icon as part of a combination. The other special symbol is, of course, a scatter, depicted as a boat. 

During the base game of Kraken's Sky Bounty, a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, or 6x6 frame may appear anywhere on the boat. If a wild lands within the frame, it will expand to fill all of the positions within it. Should more than one wild land in the frame, the expanded wild will come with a win multiplier. For example, if two wild icons appear within the frame, a 2x multiplier will be applied. 

Landing three or more scatter icons simultaneously will trigger the main bonus mode, awarding players with a total of 6 free spins. If more than three scatter symbols triggered the round, they will be added to the meter at the top of the screen, as will any other scatters that appear throughout the bonus.  

The aforementioned frame mechanic will be active at all times in the bonus mode, and at the start of the round, the frame will be 2x2 in size. For every three scatter icons that are collected, the size of the frame will be increased to 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, and finally, 6x6. At each stage, players will be awarded with an additional two spins.
