Judge & Jury Megaways

There are a lot of crime-themed slots out there, but most of them concentrate on the actual heist. Skywind have given things a twist by adding to the genre a slot machine where the action takes place in the aftermath of the crime. Judge & Jury Megaways is set in a courtroom, complete with a gavel-banging judge!

Judge & Jury's game grid is a bit different, too, with six standard vertically spinning reels and a horizontal bonus reel sitting on top of them. Since this is a Megaways slot, there are no rows as such, and the number of symbols on each reel changes as you spin. This means the number of payline changes as well, varying from 324 to 117,649. There are two modes for betting. In the normal mode, stakes range between 0.20 and 200 per spin. If you choose Double Chance mode, they'll be increased by 25%, but you double your chance of getting Free Spins.

The card ranks from 9 to Ace are the symbols at the lower end of the paytable. These pay 8 x to 20 x your bet for six of a kind. 

Then we get to the themed symbols, which are a pair of handcuffs, a safe, a thief, a policeman and a judge. These award maximum payouts of between 30 x and 150 x the bet for six of a kind. 

There are not one, but two Wilds in this game. The first is a blue police siren that behaves like most wilds by landing anywhere and standing in for any regular symbol. Then a red police siren will land on the top reel. This will turn all the symbols in the positions below it Wild. Both Wilds also give their own payouts, with a maximum of 150 x your stake for six. 

A pink game logo is the Scatter symbol, and four or more will get you into the Free Spins round. 

A prisoner behind bars can also land during Free Spins, and when he does he'll trigger the I.D. Parade feature when you land three or more. 

Finally, cash prizes can be won from any wanted posters that land, if they match the one, you'll see beside the reels.

The Judge

Presiding over the court is the rather grumpy-looking judge, but he's not all bad. As well as commenting on the proceedings, he'll throw in a few extra bonuses along the way. First of all, he can banish all the card ranks from the reels on a non-winning spin. Themed symbols will cascade into their place and hopefully, give you a payout. The other act of kindness this upholder of the law is capable of is adding 3 to 6 Wilds to the reels at random.

Wanted Posters 

On the right of the reels is a wanted poster that changes on each spin. If a matching one lands on the reels, players will get a cash prize of 2x, 5x, 10x, 100x, or 5,000x their bet. If a wanted poster has produced a payout it's removed from the reels, and a cascade occurs. These posters appear in both the base game and the Free Spins but are not affected by the progressive multiplier.

Free Spins

Four Scatters are the minimum you need to get into the Free Spins round. This will get you 10 Free Spins; five will get you 15, and six awards 20. Each win during the Free Spins will up the progressive multiplier by one for any subsequent wins. 3 or 4 more scatters during this round will get you 5 or 10 more free spins, respectively. 

I.D. Parade

One cool feature active during the Free Spins only is the I.D. Parade. Get 3, 4, 5, or 6 cell symbols anywhere on the reels, and you'll be awarded 1, 2, 3, or 4 picks, in that order. Here, you'll see four suspects appear on the screen in front of you. Pick one, and he'll reveal a price that could be 3, 5, or 10 extra free spins, values of 3, 5, or 10 added to the multiplier, or cash prizes of 5x, 10x, 20x, 30x, 50x, or 100x the bet.
