Premium symbols are represented by football players and fans, with two supporters, a green footballer, a red footballer, and a yellow football, all making an appearance. These can award players with 2.5x, 2.8x, 3x, and 4x respectively, if 5 form a matching combination across any of the 243 paylines.

Football Finals X UP also includes two different special symbols. The first is a wild icon, shown as a golden trophy, which can replace any of the aforementioned symbols to create a matching combination. Football Finals includes the 'X UP' mechanic, which will progressively collect an 'X' icon, that can be created when 2 scatter symbols land during the same spin. The progress of this can be seen on the left of the board itself, with increasing multipliers from top to bottom of the meter. 

Should the main bonus trigger, the current position on the meter will represent the win multiplier for the round. Alternatively, if the meter is filled completely, the bonus will activate with a 10x multiplier. Keep in mind that scatter symbols can only appear on any of the three middle reels. 

If three scatter symbols appear during the same spin, the bonus will activate immediately, with players being awarded eight free spins. The multiplier from the 'X Up' meter will also be applied to any potential winnings, before being reset at the end of play. In Football Finals X UP, landing any scatter symbol during the bonus will award two more spins, regardless of how the mode was triggered.

Players also have the option to upgrade the starting multiplier with a fixed wager, unless, of course, the 10x is already active. Finally, this bonus mode can be purchased immediately for 60x the stake size. A random starting multiplier will be awarded in this instance.
