When it comes to fishing slots, there are a handful of expectations for punters. These were met in the original Fishin' Pots of Gold, with this sequel offering a fresh look to the popular slot. Of course, the additions are centered around Christmas, including an appearance from Santa Flynn. A variety of presents and candy canes can also be seen in the background, allowing players to get into the festive spirit!  

Fishin' Christmas Pots of Gold was produced by Gameburger Studios, who also created the original. Interestingly, this slot is not the only sequel, with Fishin' Bigger Pots of Gold also being released in 2022. In addition to this series of games, they also have titles such as Hyper Star, Break Da Bank Again Megaways, and Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar.  

Festive 10, J, Q, K, and A symbols are the least desirable icons in Fishin’ Christmas Pots of Gold. Next are the premiums, displayed as a bauble, a lure, a pair of Santa boots, and a tackle box. These can award up to 50x, 50x, 100x, and 200x, if five four a matching combination.

Special symbols include fish icons that can display different fixed values on them. In addition to fish symbols, there are four different jackpot icons for players to keep a lookout for. There is also a Santa Flynn symbol, which has its own ability while also being a wild icon. Finally, there is a scatter symbol, shown as a four-leafed clover with holly in the background.

As many punters would expect with any fishing slot, there is a collect mechanic, which can be triggered when Santa Flynn appears during any spin. If there are any fish symbols in view, these will be reeled in and collected, before being awarded to the player. Keep in mind that multiple fish symbols can appear during the same spin. Jackpot symbols can also be collected, with a mini, minor, major, and mega pot sitting at 15x, 50x, 500x, and 5,000x the stake size.

Should three or more scatter symbols appear on the reels, the free spins bonus will be activated Landing 3, 4, or 5 of these icons will award players with 10, 15, or 20 free spins, in that order. During this mode, two extra rows will be added to the board itself, which in turn increases the total number of paylines by 10 (20 in total). 

An accumulation mechanic also comes into play when free spins are being played out. Santa Flynn will be collected during this mode whenever it hits. For every 3 of these symbols that are collected, an additional five spins will be added to the total, while also increasing the win multiplier. 

If 3, 6, 9, or 12 are accumulated, the multiplier will sit at x2, x3, x5, and 10x, which is applied exclusively to the fish value icons. A maximum of 12 Santa Flynn symbols can be collected throughout this bonus. The aforementioned collect mechanic will also remain active, with any fish being reeled in by Santa Flynn before the value is awarded to the player. Finally, this bonus can be bought for 50x, 100x, or 150x the stake size.

While this slot is similar to the original in many ways, Gameburger Studios has put a lot of effort into the theme of this fresh release. Every aspect of this game, including the symbols, visuals, and music, have all been made festive!
