The first bonus mechanic in Dino P.D. is relatively simple and revolves around the different coin symbols, which can appear with 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, or 1,000 stamped on them. If five or more of these appear, the values will be added together and multiplied by the total bet size, before being awarded to the player. 

Should scatter icons land on reels 1 and 3, alongside a gamble scatter symbol on reel 5, the main bonus mode in this release will trigger. The gamble scatter will display a reel that will spin to reveal either a bronze, silver, or gold coin, with 8 to 10 free spins being awarded for all three outcomes.  

Now, the difference between the three bonus modes is how many standard icons are removed from play and turned into coin symbols. In the bronze mode, 0 or 1 standard symbol will be removed, with 2 to 3 being removed in the silver round, and 4 in the gold. Players can choose to gamble the bronze or silver free spins to either upgrade their bonus or return to the base game if they wish. Alternatively, the option to collect will start the bonus immediately. 

Throughout the round, players may notice coin symbols that feature a ring of light around them, known as 'Collector Coins'. If these drop in any position, they will award progress on the metre to the right, and when four are collected, the least desirable set of symbols left in play will also be transformed into coins.
