Mount Olympus, the mountain in Greece with the tallest peak, is said to be home to twelve gods, also known as Olympians. Zeus, perhaps the most powerful of all, is the focus of this slot, with his head being visible at the top of the colosseum-inspired board. The background in the Champions of Olympus slot features a selection of temples, alongside a view of the sunny Greek countryside. A total of 5 reels are found in this release, with a cluster pays mechanic also being active. 

Champions of Olympus was created by Gold Coin Studios, a provider that is dedicated to releasing titles that stand the test of time. The standard symbols in Champions of Olympus are shown as green, red, blue, and purple stones. Premiums come next, including a Cyclops, a lion, a bull, and Medusa, which can award players with up to 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x their stake size, respectively. 

Wild icons can also be found in this release, with two different variations available. One wild is simply shown as a golden W, while the other appears as the head of Zeus. There are also fixed-value icons, shown as black coins, that can appear exclusively during the bonus mode.  

Before touching on the various bonus features in this title, we must first mention that a 'Rolling Reels' mechanic is included. This simply means that all matching clusters are removed from the board, and new icons will drop in to fill the space left below!  

Now, the first bonus feature in Champions of Olympus is linked to the meter on the left of the screen. Should wild symbols be part of a combination, the corresponding number of steps will be added as progress on this meter. Any potential winnings will then be multiplied by this number before being awarded. There is also a modifier that can trigger at any time, which will transform 3, 4, 5, or 6 standard icons into wilds. 

Should the Zeus Lightning Wild appear and form a combination, a maximum of 4 more wilds will be added to the board for the subsequent tumble. These wilds can land on top of each other, and if this happens, a win multiplier will be added to the corresponding symbol. For each Zeus Lightning Wild that is part of a cluster, progress will be added to the bar at the top of the screen. This progress is saved per bet size, too! 

When all eight have been filled, the Link and Win bonus mode will trigger. To start the round, players will be awarded with three respins on a new board where only multiplier coins or Zeus symbols can appear. Three with values of 1x, 2x, or 3x will also be placed in random positions. If additional icons land, they will also lock in place, and the number of spins will be reset to three. 

So, what exactly sets the Link and Win bonus apart from other online slots that feature respin-based bonuses? Well, it's the inclusion of the meter at the top of the board, which can unlock symbols and award modifiers depending on how many coins have appeared in total. 

At 13 icons, the Cyclops symbol will activate. It comes with a 1-4x multiplier and adds double another icon's value to itself, before then adding its own value to another symbol on the screen. Should players collect 16 symbols, the lion will unlock, with a value of 2-4x which will also be added to 2, 3, or 4 other symbols in view. 

The bull icon becomes active at the 19 symbol mark, with an associated multiplier of 2-4x. It will also collect the values of 2, 3, or 4 other icons and add them to itself. Collecting 22 Link & Win symbols will unlock the Medusa icon, which comes with a 2x-4x value. This value is then added to all surrounding symbols.  

It's also worth mentioning that the Zeus symbol can appear at any time, with a 5x multiplier that can also be added to 2, 3, 4, or 5 different symbols on the board. The Link & Win mode will end once players have used all of their spins, at which point all values on the screen will be totalled up and awarded. Filling the board will also end the round and award players with 12,500x their stake size!
