Area Link Phoenix

The Phoenix, an integral part of Greek mythology, is a bird-like animal that is strongly associated with fire. According to legend, these creatures go up in flames, only to be reborn moments later. The Area Link Phoenix slot sticks with this theme, as it's set inside of a lair that has been totally engulfed by lava. A series of eggs also appear at the top of the board, protected by an angry-looking Phoenix. This game comes with a total of 5 reels, 20 paylines, and a minimum stake size of 0.20 per spin. 

Area Link Phoenix was created by Games Global, a company that tends to collaborate with other studios in order to offer a higher quality experience to players. Like in many casino slots online, the least desirable symbols in this title are represented by 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A icons. These are followed by an emerald, an amethyst, a fire opal stone, a ruby, and three golden feathers. Should five of these form a matching combination, players will be awarded at the rate of 2x, 2x, 2.5x, 2.5x, or 5x the total bet size, in that order. 

There are also wild symbols in this title, shown as a Phoenix. Of course, these can replace any of the previously mentioned symbols as part of a combination. Fireballs are the last icon for players to look out for, as these have the potential to trigger the main bonus!

Now, whenever fireballs appear on the reels in this title, they will reveal a colour before being collected. They will be added to the corresponding egg at the top of the screen, and when enough fireballs have been accumulated, it will hatch, triggering the 'Area Link' bonus mode. 

Players will be awarded with a total of 3 respins that will be reset whenever a fireball icon drops into play. These fireballs will come with fixed values associated with them, and whenever one or more drops, it will lock into place for the rest of the round.  

One of three different jackpots can also appear on the fireballs, with the mini, minor, and major variations sitting at 10x, 20x, or 500x the stake size, in that order. This mode will continue until all respins have been used, at which point all the values on the screen will be totalled up and awarded. If the board becomes completely full, players will be awarded with the grand jackpot, valued at 5,000x the stake size, before being taken back to the base game.  

That's the basic principle of the bonus. However, a modifier will be applied, depending on which coloured egg triggered the round. For the red egg, a fireball of the same colour can appear on the board, collecting all values before it's replaced by a standard variation that locks in place for the rest of the spins. If the orange egg triggers the bonus, a multiplier of either 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x will be applied to each spin. Finally, the purple egg will ensure that an extra grid is added to the board, meaning more positions are present! 

Based on a relatively standard theme, it's the visual elements of Area Link Phoenix that make this title stand out against other online slots. The bonus mode also uses the traditional respins mechanic. However, three different modifiers have been added to the mix!
