Age of the Gods: Medusa and Monsters lies on the shores of a morbid-looking cove, with animated waves crashing against the bottom of the online slot itself. One feature to note in this game is the stacked symbols, which appear in groups of 2 or more on the reels. Powerful music also plays in the background, with sound effects occurring when the reels lock in place, or a matching combination is formed.  

Playtech are the creators of Age of the Gods: Medusa and Monsters. However, this is not their only release in the Age of the Gods series. In the past, they have released Age of the Gods: God of Storms, Age of the Gods: God of Storms 2, and Age Of The Gods: Maze Keeper (Ways Boost). While a lot of slots in this series have a similar theme, they tend to centre on different aspects of Greek Mythology. 

The standard symbols in Age of the Gods: Medusa and Monsters consist of different jewels, with a sapphire, emerald, ruby, and diamond all appearing stacked on the reels. Next is a helmet, a sword, and a ship. These are followed by the premium icons, which are a Cerberus, a minotaur, and Aphrodite, which can award players with 75x, 100x, or 150x the stake size, respectively, should 6 form a matching combination.

Of course, this slot would not be complete without an appearance from Medusa herself. She is the wild symbol in Age of the Gods: Medusa and Monsters and can replace any standard or premium symbol along a payline, in order to form a combination. Finally, there is a scatter symbol, shown as a shield.

Landing a scatter symbol on reels 2, 4, and 6 will trigger the main bonus mode in Age of the Gods: Medusa and Monsters. At the start of the round, players will have to pick between three different shields to reveal a symbol. Should this symbol appear, it will be petrified by Medusa and lock in place. In addition to this, a Medusa wild icon will appear fully stacked on reel 6, before moving to the left at the end of each spin. When Medusa touches a petrified symbol, it will return to normal. This mode will continue until the stacked wild moves to the first reel!

Like with other games in the Age of the Gods series, this slot contains four different progressive jackpots. In order of desirability, there is a power, extra power, super power, and ultimate power jackpots, which run across a variety of slots. The mini-game associated with these jackpots can trigger randomly during any spin, taking players to a board with different golden coins. Behind each of these coins is one of the aforementioned jackpots. The round will end when three of the same jackpot icons are revealed, with the corresponding potential winnings being awarded to the player.
