Most of the rules for this table game are similar to the original blackjack, but include some unique features and betting options. In this article, we explain the rules of Blackjack Pro in detail, while also discussing the various side bets.

The objective of Blackjack Pro is the same as regular variations, get as close to 21 as possible without busting. Players will start each round with two cards, and both will be dealt face-up. The dealer will have two cards. However, only one of these will be turned up. After all cards have been dealt, the round will commence with the seat to the left of the dealer. 

With Blackjack Pro, there is only one player, so waiting for others to make their decision is eliminated. The player has the option to hit for another card, stand on the existing cards, or double down during their turn. Should the player have two cards of the same value, they can split them, which will automatically double the main bet. Split hands can be doubled if the player wishes.

If the player gets closer to 21 than the dealer without busting, the main bet is doubled and awarded. Should the dealer get closer to 21 without busting, or the player busts, the main bet is lost. Blackjacks award at the rate of 3:2, if players do not opt for the 'Even Money' offer, which is covered below. Finally, should the player and dealer have the same number, the bet will be refunded. Dealers must draw to 16 and stand on 17+ in Blackjack Pro.

So, what exactly sets PartyCasino Blackjack Pro apart from standard alternatives? First is a few changes to the ruleset. Perhaps one of the most prevalent changes within this variation is the 'Even Money?' option, which can be accepted or declined if the player has a Blackjack, and the dealer is showing an Ace.

If the player accepts the 'Even Money' option, they will be awarded at the rate of 1:1, or double the main bet, without the rest of the hand being played out. If this is one of many hands, the others will still be played out, but the corresponding Blackjack will be awarded immediately.

Should the player decline, they will be awarded at the rate of 3:2 if the dealer does not have a Blackjack. However, if the dealer shows a card with a value of 10, the hand will be classed as a 'Push', and the bet will be refunded.

A couple of other noticeable rules include that the dealer will never automatically check for a Blackjack, alongside Ace and ten combinations not counting as a Blackjack after splitting. Instead, they will count as 21.

Another standout feature of PartyCasino Blackjack Pro is the potential for players to lay side bets. There are two in total, both of which can be bet on at the start of the round only. The first is 'Perfect Pairs', which is a side bet that can be placed on the player's cards. Should players receive two identical cards, two cards of the same value and colour, or two cards of the same value with different colours, this bet will award at the rate of 25:1, 12:1, or 6:1, respectively.

There is also a side bet known as 21+3, where players are looking to make a poker hand with the two face-up cards in their hand, alongside the dealer's face-up card. Should players make a suited three of a kind, a straight flush, three of a kind, a straight, or a flush, they can be awarded at the rate of 100:1, 40:1, 30:1, 10:1, or 5:1 in that order. Keep in mind that with both side bets, the potential winnings only apply to the side bet, not the total bet.
